Job Summary:
We’re looking for a skilled and creative video editor to transform our raw footage into compelling, polished videos. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, strong storytelling abilities, and the capacity to distill complex information into concise, engaging content. This role also involves creating detailed show notes and identifying key highlights from our videos.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Edit raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos that align with our channel’s style and brand guidelines.
2. Implement smooth transitions, add appropriate effects, and incorporate graphics to enhance visual appeal.
3. Ensure perfect audio-video sync and perform necessary audio adjustments.
4. Conduct color correction and grading to maintain consistent visual quality across all videos.
5. Create eye-catching thumbnails and end screens for each video.
6. Generate detailed show notes with accurate timestamps for each video.
7. Identify and highlight the most important parts of each video for easy viewer reference.
8. Collaborate with the content creation team to understand video concepts and desired outcomes.
9. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
1. Proven experience (3+ years) in video editing, preferably for YouTube or similar platforms.
2. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop (or equivalent software).
3. Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of editing styles and techniques.
4. Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to structure content for maximum engagement (You can utilize ChatGPT and custom GPT’s to help you analyze and write).
5. Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
6. Strong written communication skills for creating accurate and concise show notes.
7. Ability to identify key points and summarize content effectively.
8. Time management skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with motion graphics and basic animation.
2. Familiarity with AI.
3. Understanding of copyright laws and fair use in relation to video content.
Technical Requirements:
1. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition).
2. Access to a high-performance computer capable of handling video editing.
3. High-speed internet connection for file transfers and collaboration.
Employment Type: Full-time (30 hours per week)

Compensation: $3-$5 USD/hour based on experience
