Character makes transforming your home seamless, accessible and fun with our line-up of tools & tool sets, toolboxes & tool storage and project kits for popular home improvement projects. Character kits for projects like picture hanging and faucet install combine supplies with how-to videos and access to our team of experts via text so customers can get help when they need it. Launched in 2022, Character products are available DTC at and in hundreds of brick & mortar retail stores across the US.

The role:
As Creator Marketing Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in Character’s work with the amazing community of do-it-yourself (DIY) home improvement creators who do projects around their homes and share videos and tips to inspire others to do the same. You’ll find and contact exceptional creators on behalf of Character to invite them to partner with our brand for content campaigns. You’ll be the primary point of contact for all creators working with Character and you will help them create engaging content that inspires their followers and shares the Character brand story and products.

Core responsibilities:

Creator recruitment
– Find high potential creators on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube for Character marketing campaigns related to tools, tool storage and project kits for home improvement projects (ex: picture hanging, replacing faucets)
– Contact selected creators, introduce Character brand and share current partnership opportunities
– Commit and schedule creators for Character content partnerships (target 20+ per month)

Creator campaign operations
– Coordinate with Character operations team to ship creator partners Character products for scheduled campaigns
– Coordinate with Character marketing team to schedule creator posts and partnerships
– Answer questions for creator partners as needed
– Collect completed photo and video assets from creators
– Send creator partners required contracts and collect signatures
– Manage payments to creators (where applicable)

Preferred experience:

– Prior experience recruiting and coordinating creator/influencer campaigns for US-based consumer products businesses
– Social media management experience including Instagram, TikTok and/or YouTube
– Excellent attention to detail
– Ability to operate independently
– Excellent written communication skills with ability to communicate appropriately with potential creator partners on social media platforms and email
– Able to work all or partially during US daytime hours (10am ET – 11pm ET) when creators will prefer to be contacted
