One Bed ( ) is seeking qualified candidates with a background in providing excellent customer service and interest in home products and decor for the position of Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will provide best-in-class service for new and current customers of One Bed to help prospective customers learn about One Bed products and their quality and features, enable and generate sales to new customers, and provide superior service after purchase, always in an upbeat, positive, and professional manner.
This is a long-term, ongoing position with a new career and learning opportunities as One Bed, a new entrant with unique products in luxury bedding, continues to grow!
Main Responsibilities:
Provide knowledgeable answers through various channels (including ZenDesk tickets, online chat, phone, social media, and messaging) regarding One Bed products and brand using established knowledge bases while able to quickly customize answers where needed
Highly desirable to have strong verbal English skills to accept phone inquiries after a period of working solely online support
Make recommendations to customers about the best products for their needs using a consultative approach.
Assist clients with placing their orders, sometimes crafting a custom package with custom calculations
Interact with Shopify, shipping software, and other software to service new and current customers
Assist current customers with service, product, warranty, and return issues to provide best-in-class service
Follow standard operating procedures and use task management systems to handle customer issues, complaints, sales, and other tasks, while personalizing and adapting responses and actions for each individual customer.
Become a product expert about One Bed products and their quality and unique features, differences between One Bed products and competing or similar products, different types of fabric/materials in One Bed products and bedding in general, and details about the bedding industry as a whole
Handle unhappy customers gracefully in a helpful, friendly, and empathetic yet accurate and honest manner
Be an advocate for the One Bed brand to customers interested in our products and brand.
Additional data entry, research, marketing, email outreach, or other tasks or projects are to be assigned for completion during downtime.
Build processes, task procedures, and training materials as required
Supervise and oversee others for quality assurance as required
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service for consumer products. Experience in bedding sales & service is highly desirable. Experience with home goods, apparel, and/or luxury goods is also desirable.
Available to work 40 hours/week flexible hours Monday through Sunday US hours (PST/EST/PDT/EDT)
Reliable computer and reliable high-speed internet connection
Flexible with scheduling when required, including working weekends with days off during the week
Strong written English skills
Strong spoken English skills are highly desirable.
Basic math skills are required, such as calculating discounts, refund amounts, or custom order amounts.
Strong E-commerce background highly recommended. Experience using Shopify, ZenDesk, online chat, Slack, and other common e-commerce platforms and tools desirable
Strong typing speed, 55/60+ typing speed highly desirable. Must submit typing test certificate
Must be a sales-oriented person
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Proactive personality and self-motivator
Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Google Docs and Google Sheets or similar Microsoft Office applications
Ability to learn new applications quickly
Team player, ability to take direction and work with co-workers to improve themselves, the team, and others daily
