We are a gut health company in the supplement space looking for a, compassionate, smart, quick learner.
The candidate must have exceptional customer service skills and be incredibly compassionate, statistic and smart.
Because there are strict laws that govern what we can and can’t say in regards to health and supplements in Australia – we often cannot answer customer questions in a black and white way. We also cannot answer personal medical questions or questions that are unique to the customers health situation which they often ask, but we must still respond best we can with compassion and care.
We are not the customers treating doctor. We can’t give medical advice and we can’t definitively say a product will or won’t work for the unique individual or issue. We can however suggest it will in a none black and white way.
Some questions you will get you cannot provide definitive answers to, as they involve if the product works for particular issues and although it does in many cases, you can’t say that. In this industry in Australia, you cannot say it will or won’t (legally)- but you can say things like ‘the ingredients included have been shown to be helpful in scientific studies for x condition’ ‘the product has been formulated with ingredients proven in studies to work for x’ ect. You cannot say the product, only the ingredients. We can say things like ‘the ingredients in the system have been shown to promote the growth of healthy bacteria’. There is a difference between saying this and saying ‘the product increases good bacteria’.
You may also be asked about interactions with varying medications, we cannot give a definitive answer in case there is one that is yet to be known, so you must therefore research this, and if the answer is no, then say something like ‘to the best of our knowledge we aren’t aware of any, but you should consult your healthcare provider before taking any supplements with your existing medications’.
What is normal vs abnormal in gut health symptoms and many other questions we cannot legally comment on as it is different for everyone, and we don’t want to tell a customer their gut issue is normal and for the chance they have something very bad going on and then don’t seek medical help because we advised it as normal. We always want to be supportive with things like ‘people can experience x y z m and we see this often but it varys greatly from person to person’ ect. Our product has something called die off which you will be educated on and how to answer these questions.
If you can’t pick up on these nuances and know how to frame things so your response is legal then don’t apply.

Customer service experience is a plus but not required.
