The Bookipi Group is looking for an experienced Data Analyst for our Payroller product. Payroller is critical for Australian small businesses. The platform has continued to grow year after year and we need your skills to continue to scale.
This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate. You will apply your existing skills, develop a deeper understanding of cutting edge tools, get exposure to big data and AI applications in a practical setting, and take your skills to the next level.
You will be responsible for the data analysis for Payroller. This is a growing need and we are wanting to increase our capabilities. You will gather data and ensure your BAU reporting is accurate, you will work closely with PMs and the leadership team on new deliveries and partnerships, and you will develop tests and hypotheses to put into action

Key Actions & Duties
Develop, maintain, run, and optimise queries, dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling to inform business strategies.
Monitor and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend data-driven solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.
Extracting customer lists for campaigns
Providing data driven insights and recommendations for action
Forecast, derive cause-effect relationships, form hypotheses based on data, and make recommendations for tests and improvements.
Skill & Experience Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Data Analyst in a tech or startup environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. Certification in data analysis or related fields.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Excel, R, or Python, or SAS.
Experience working with BigQuery, Google Sheets, Hevo, Amplitude, and SQL for analysis
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus: Familiarity with big data technologies is a plus.
