Data Analyst & Architect – Business Intelligence

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Data Analyst & Architect to join our team. In this role, you will take on a dual responsibility of creating comprehensive requirements for data-driven BI projects while also architecting efficient and scalable data systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving the success of our BI initiatives through meticulous documentation, including requirements and documentation for BI projects (e.g., data schemas, data dictionaries, and relational-entity diagrams). This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the data infrastructure of our clients and contribute significantly to the value we provide them.

Responsibilities:

– Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements for Business Intelligence initiatives.
– Translate complex business needs into well-structured and detailed documentation, including data schemas, data dictionaries, and relational-entity diagrams.
– Design and architect data systems and data flows that align with business requirements, focusing on scalability, performance, and data integrity.
– Create and maintain comprehensive technical specifications, user manuals, and documentation standards for data projects.
– Work collaboratively with data engineers and developers to ensure seamless integration and implementation of data systems.
– Provide expertise in data modeling, database design, and system architecture to optimize data solutions.
– Lead efforts in data quality assurance, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency in documentation and data systems.
– Actively participate in project planning and strategy discussions, offering valuable insights into data architecture and requirements.
– Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in BI, data analysis, and system architecture.
– Mentor and provide guidance to other team members in data analysis and system design principles.

Qualifications:

– Proven experience (2+ years) as a Data Analyst, Data Architect, or a similar role involving data-driven Business Intelligence projects.
– Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and ETL processes.
– Proficiency in creating data schemas, data dictionaries, and relational-entity diagrams using industry-standard tools.
– Extensive knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data visualization concepts.
– Solid experience in SQL, data querying, and data manipulation.
– Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
– Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
– Proven ability to design and architect data systems that meet business needs while adhering to best practices.
– Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake) and data warehousing is a plus.
– Project management skills and familiarity with Agile methodologies are beneficial.
