Position Overview: The Data Entry and Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records and performing data entry tasks to ensure the integrity of the inventory management system. This role involves inputting, updating, and managing inventory data, tracking stock levels, and generating reports. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory management software.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry:
Accurately enter inventory data into the inventory management system.
Update and maintain inventory records, including product descriptions, quantities, and location information.
Verify and cross-check data for accuracy and completeness.

Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels and perform regular inventory counts.
Assist in receiving and processing incoming shipments.
Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure easy access and efficient use of space.

Reporting:
Generate and distribute inventory reports, including stock levels, discrepancies, and reorder points.
Prepare and submit inventory-related documentation and reports to management.
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, shortages, and opportunities for improvement.

Quality Control:
Conduct routine audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to prevent inventory issues.

Coordination and Communication:
Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to coordinate inventory-related activities.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding inventory needs and discrepancies.
Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure smooth inventory operations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
Proven experience in data entry, inventory management, or a related role.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
