About the Job:
As a Data Engineer, you’ll be a key member of our tech team. Your job is to build and manage systems that collect and organize information about athletes from social media like Instagram and TikTok. You’ll be using technology to handle challenges like limited access to social media data and making sure all the information is accurate and up-to-date.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Getting Social Media Info—–
– Create tools that automatically collect data from athletes’ social media profiles and other related sources.
– Figure out what we can and can’t get from Instagram and TikTok due to their rules and find ways to work around those limits.

Making the Data Better and More Useful—–
– Create ways to make sure athlete profiles from different social media platforms are accurately matched.
– Add a system that lets people manually correct errors, so our data becomes more and more accurate over time.

Managing the Data Flow—–
– Make sure the systems that improve the data work well with our existing systems.
– Handle any limitations set by Instagram and TikTok to make sure we don’t violate their rules and keep our data clean and unique.

Keep Improving—–
– Make it easy to update old data when we find better ways to organize and match it.

Qualifications:
– Proficient in Python programming, web scraping (getting data from websites), and managing databases.
– It helps if you’re familiar with cloud storage systems like AWS or Azure.
– You need to be good at solving problems, pay close attention to details, and be able to keep up in a fast-moving work environment.
