About Our Company:
We are a dynamic company dedicated to helping short-term rental hosts maximize their revenue through strategic pricing and data-driven decision-making. As we expand our services, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Data Scientist to develop and maintain advanced dashboards and reporting tools in Google’s Looker Studio, as-well as setting up and maintaining our data in BigQuery to advance our decision making.

Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, updating, and managing complex data visualizations and dashboards that provide actionable insights into market trends, occupancy rates, and pricing strategies. This role requires a blend of analytical prowess, technical scripting abilities, and a deep understanding of revenue optimization in the hospitality sector (preferred).

Responsibilities:
– Design and implement interactive dashboards and reports in Looker Studio to track key performance indicators and visualize data trends.
– Integrate various data sources into Looker Studio, ensuring data is accurate and readily accessible for analysis.
– Utilize BigQuery for managing large datasets, performing complex queries, and optimizing data retrieval.
– Write custom scripts and formulas to automate data processes and enhance dashboard functionality.
– Collaborate with stakeholders to identify analytics needs and continuously refine data presentation.
– Keep abreast of the latest in AI and machine learning, integrating advanced techniques into our data analysis processes to enhance predictive analytics capabilities.
– Provide ongoing maintenance and support for all data visualization tools.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
– Proven experience in data visualization and dashboard creation, specifically with Google’s Looker Studio.
– Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly in Google BigQuery, and scripting for data manipulation and automation.
– Solid foundation in mathematical models and statistical analysis.
– Experience in the hospitality industry, specifically in pricing or revenue management, is highly preferred.
– Demonstrated passion for AI and machine learning, with practical experience in implementing these technologies to solve business problems.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
– Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex data insights in a clear and effective manner.

Compensation:
– Starting Hourly Rate: $5/hr
– Performance Review: Compensation will be reviewed quarterly, with potential adjustments based on the demonstrated value added to the business and performance metrics, in addition to a negotiation in total hours.
