Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience with web scraping tools and techniques. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated systems to gather data that will be used to support our business strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain web scraping scripts and tools to extract data from various online sources.
Clean, organize, and store scraped data in a structured format.
Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing validation checks and monitoring scraping processes.
Collaborate with data analysts and other team members to understand data requirements and deliver relevant data sets.
Stay up-to-date with the latest web scraping techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web scraping and data extraction.
Document processes, scripts, and methodologies used in data scraping.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Data Scraper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar for web scraping purposes.
Experience with web scraping libraries and frameworks (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium).
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they pertain to web scraping.
Knowledge of data storage solutions, including databases and cloud storage.
Familiarity with data cleaning and processing techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with APIs and other data extraction methods.
Familiarity with big data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Understanding of machine learning and data analysis techniques.
