TLDR: American MSP needs an experienced MSP tech. Pay is 40k+. We are very willing to pay more if you have good English speaking abilities, are a team player, and have good tech skills.
JOB DETAILS:
We are an IT firm in the US looking for someone who has very good spoken English and customer service skills. The job is taking incoming customer calls and remoting into their system to troubleshoot the issue. Examples include fixing Windows shares, creating new users, resetting passwords, adding printers, reading Windows log files, rebooting computers remotely, configuring firewalls, and similar work.
Ideal candidate would have previous work experience in an MSP and able to work with a ticketing system. Is able to talk pleasantly with customers – its ok to joke and have fun here.
The work is 0800-1700 EDT with 60 minutes off for lunch.
Because we work with sensitive customer data, we must be able to trust you. Our onsite manager will perform face-to-face interviews if you are selected. We will need to verify your address and work history. NBI clearance is required.
We are in the process of forming a Philippines corporation that will employ you. Phil Health, SSS, all included.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Windows 10 installation, troubleshooting, and support – adding printers, resetting passwords, creating users, installing apps
Basic Linux skills – able to use ping, ip, nano, sudo, systemctl, passwd
Windows 2019 Server and domain experience is a bonus – all of our customers are on a domain
Understanding backups – set up a backup system, monitor it for failures
Understanding of TCP/IP and networking, IP addresses, subnets, VLANs
Firewalls – what they are, how they work, and able to understand firewall rules
Good documentation skills as you will need to document the work you performed in a ticketing system

Most calls you will receive are pleasant and non-confrontational. It is normally not a high-stress environment.
60% of the tasks we will ask you to perform we have full documentation on. These are guides with screenshots, etc. This is increasing every day and we would love your help in improving this.
We provide access to online training courses from Microsoft, CompTIA, etc. If you wish to study for a certification like the Security+, we will pay for your test attempt.
