JO 13027 | Debt Collector for an AU Retail Business

Status: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Philippine Standard Time | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM AEST (Mon-Fri)

Role Objective
The person should have bookkeeping experience and understand numbers and reconciliation of customer accounts. They will need to login to a bank account to reconcile customer payments and put into MYOB software. The successful candidate will report directly to the Management Accountant and will liaise with customers, managers and the sales and distribution teams.

Responsibilities
-Collection calls and negotiating payment plans with a positive, persistent, and personable communication style.
-Controlling and managing the debtor’s ledger.
-Manage and maintain relationships with all customers including majors.
-Meeting monthly targets relating to outstanding debt reductions.
-Posting and reconciling daily payments from several different sources.
-Investigate and reconcile debtor account discrepancies.

Qualifications
-Accounting Courses or Degree in Accounting or similar business major.
-Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience, preferably with AU market exposure
-Experience/knowledge with ERP business systems, MYOB, QuickBooks and proficiency with Excel.
-Attention to accuracy and detail.
-Strong capability to communicate both verbally and in writing
-Persistent, positive, and personable with the ability to forge strong relationships with customers
-Self-directed individual with the ability to work autonomously
-Ability to speak professionally on the telephone with clients and answer multiple lines.
-Ability to keep track of multiple accounts and to collect payments in a very timely manner.
-Possess excellent customer service skills.
