About the role
The Design Project Manager & QC is a hybrid role that manages and oversees a team of 20+ designers and a portfolio of 100+ clients. The role is highly diversified and constantly evolves as the company grows. The Design Project Manager & QC will handle daily workload management, quality control, creative talent management, performance review, training and onboarding, and external communication.

The ideal candidate should be talented and able to understand our client’s expectations, who are startup founders worldwide who love beautiful and minimal designs. If you are startup-curious like us and want to help design the next unicorn logo, you are welcome to join us.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
Workload management: match every design project to the right designer, ensure all requests are being worked on, and designers are not over or under working
Quality Control: perform thorough quality checks on all projects, review final delivery files before they are sent to clients, and ensure all design elements are appropriately set and accessible
Creative talent management: lead your team and their projects, manage designer availability, and ensure designers maintain a good reputation on the platform
Performance review: conduct trimonthly performance reviews for all team members
Training and onboarding: conduct online one-on-one and group training with designers in your team

Qualifications:
Strong experience in graphic design and operations management
Experience leading and managing a team of designers
Strong understanding of design principles and trends, especially in the startup industry
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Experience using design software such as Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
Experience with project management tools such as Asana or Trello
A portfolio of previous work that demonstrates your skills and experience
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Access to a computer and reliable internet connection
Access to design software such as Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
Available to work from 9 AM – 6 PM Eastern Standard Time, including the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
