Designer – Chief architect

Hey! American-based company that does residential remodels (mostly kitchens and bathrooms) looking for a full-time designer who has extensive knowledge of Chief Architect and some with Sketchup. I need someone to communicate with clients a bit, so your English needs to be VERY good. Mostly texting with clients, but possibly some phone calls.

Duties would include:
– Converting 3D Scan into Chief file (we have a company that does the work here, you would just facilitate it)
– Store files in Company Google Drive
– Replicate Clients homes to Chief (just add any missing pieces from our 3D scan)
– Design new layout per client. Could include space planning and interior design elements
– Render high quality images (need a fast computer)
– Create building plans
– Use BuilderTrend (project management software) for logging hours and storing documents, understanding contracts with clients

Would need to have the following skills:
– Understand remodels and basic construction ideas to understand if certain things are possible
– Understand basic architecture
– Have a good understanding of interior design to aid clients
– Be able to reference local resources and vendors to give realistic idea of what is possible for clients (example, is not designing cabinets that are over budget or that we aren’t able to source locally)
– Great spoken and written English
– Ability to work some hours aligning with American time (CST)

This is a small company, and you would be on a texting basis with me (owner) about all jobs. Looking for someone who doesn’t need a lot of training, and willing to compensate for that. Vibe is extremely easy going as long as all our work is getting done. Deadlines aren’t super tight, but I like things to run efficiently and promise clients the same.
