Job Description:
As a Designer/Illustrator specializing in gym, fitness, and lifestyle apparel collections, you will play a key role in shaping our brand identity through creative and trendsetting designs. You will collaborate closely with our creative director to develop visually appealing and marketable collections that resonate with our target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

– Create original and innovative designs for lifestyle/fitness apparel collections, including activewear, athleisure, and accessories.
– Utilize your expertise in screenprint and color separation techniques to create print-ready artwork that translates seamlessly onto garments.
– Reliable and able to meet deadlines that are given! Respond fast to tasks that are given at hand.
– Ability to generate design concepts that aligns with our brand image and vision without much guidance or help. (mood board will be provided).
– Ability to story-tell in order to convey a profound message through merch design that invokes emotional connection with customers when they wear our product.
– Brainstorm and create / design new brand assets such as logos, typography, icons, etc.
– Stay updated with fashion trends, color palettes, and fabric innovations to inform your design concepts.
– Conduct market research and analyze customer feedback to refine designs and ensure they meet market demands.
– Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for production, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
– Assist in the selection of fabrics, trims, and embellishments that align with the design vision and production requirements.

 
Qualifications:

– Proven experience as a designer/illustrator in the fashion industry.
– Hungry and driven artist / designer that will take our brand to the next level. Open to increasing commission / salary if job is done well.
– Exceptional creativity, storytelling, attention to detail, and ability to translate ideas into visually appealing designs.
– Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of illustrations, and designs, including screenprint artwork and color separations.
– Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.
– Understanding of the fashion trends in lifestyle/fitness niche as well as streetwear.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– Experience working with overseas manufacturers and suppliers is a plus.
– Preferred knowledge of garment construction, cut and sew, fabrics, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
