Position: Development Editor

Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) with part-time options available

Responsibilities:

• Project Development: Ideation, development, and revision of editorial projects.
• Author Support: Assist and guide authors through the book creation and writing process.
• Content Creation: Support in writing content for projects, including book titles, descriptions, emails, and social media posts.
• Project Management and Editorial Leadership: Oversee and lead editorial projects, ensuring milestones and objectives are met.

Experience Required:

• Development Editing: Proven experience in development editing, with additional experience in project management and editorial project leadership.
• Publishing Background: Experience working in a publishing house or supporting independent authors.
• Copywriting/Content Management: Prior experience as a copywriter, social media manager, or content manager is beneficial.

Skills and Qualifications:

• English Proficiency: Fluency in English (C1, C2, or native).
• Educational Background: Degree in Literature, Creative Writing, or related fields. Additional qualifications in Editing, Publishing, or Marketing are a plus.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Slack) and eager to integrate AI and other modern technologies into daily operations.
• Innovative Mindset: Passion for ‘purple cow’ content and setting industry benchmarks.
