POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join our technology team. The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in streamlining our software development and deployment processes, ensuring that our infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and efficient. The candidate will work closely with development, operations, and product teams to foster a culture of continuous integration and delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines to improve deployment frequency and reduce time to market
Administer and monitor multiple environments, ensuring system uptime and performance
Ensure that proper user permissions are created and maintained for all repositories and project related services related to DevOps
Address technical issues related to the web-based operating environment, record and resolve defects
Contribute to the development of automated processes, improving the scalability and security of operations
Develop and maintain documentation for deployment, operations, and maintenance procedures
Engage with software development and architecture teams to optimize system service delivery
Investigate and analyze service disruptions, facilitating a swift resolution and minimizing downtime
Work collaboratively across teams in a global, multi-timezone setting
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the robustness, resilience, and appropriate scaling of all infrastructure components
Monitor system performance and respond proactively to issues
Work towards automating operations to reduce manual interventions and increase efficiency
Provide expertise in system upgrades and play a pivotal role in technology selection processes
Participate in on-call rotations, providing support for critical issues and ensuring high availability
Manage user permissions for all repositories
DESIRED SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE
Experience in DevOps or systems engineering roles
Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
Strong experience with configuration management and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform)
Skilled in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Experience with cloud service platforms, preferably Azure
A solid understanding of software development life cycles and system operations
Eagerness to keep up-to-date with the latest in technology and software operations
Experience with securing web applications and cloud environments
Proficiency with version control systems, particularly GIT
Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform
Familiarity with monitoring solutions and operational metrics
