Reporting to the Microminimus Business Manager, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing the infrastructure, deployment processes, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support our development team. This role requires a mix of system administration, programming, and automation skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud services, containerization, and orchestration technologies.

Key Responsibilities
1. Design, Implement, and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Utilize GitHub Actions to develop and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software releases.
2. Application Monitoring and Performance Management: Integrate and configure New Relic to monitor application performance effectively, keeping our systems running smoothly.
3. Automate Deployment Processes: Create automated deployment processes for seamless software releases, reducing manual intervention and errors.
4. Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and address them within the CI/CD process, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
5. Monitor and Troubleshoot: Continuously monitor CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance.
6. Implement Best Practices: Apply best practices for security, reliability, and scalability in all DevOps activities, ensuring our systems are robust and secure.
7. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintain and enhance infrastructure using tools like Terraform or Ansible, ensuring it is codified and version-controlled for consistency and reliability.
8. Documentation: Document processes, workflows, and configurations to facilitate knowledge sharing and streamline onboarding for new team members.
9. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies, leveraging new insights to enhance our CI/CD and DevOps practices continually.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field.
At least three years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipeline setup.
Proficiency in integrating and using New Relic for performance monitoring.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Work Schedule/ Location
Six-month project, from June to December 2024
40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 7am – 4pm PH time zone
Remote, home-based
