Overview:
This is a remote position
The DevOps Engineer works in a team responsible for design, configuration, optimization, deployment and support of our CafePress and Personal Creations website infrastructure and services. You’ll be part of a global DevOps operations team that manages our infrastructure. You’re excited to learn new technologies and you strive to automate everything possible. The DevOps Engineer reports directly to the DevOps Manager and works closely and collaboratively with the development, product, QA and security teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Automate cloud native technologies, deploy applications, and provision critical infrastructure.
Work with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
Work within the AWS cloud ecosystem to configure and deploy optimized infrastructure.
Ensure monitoring and health of the resources deployed.
Document procedures used during deployment cycles.
Experience with operational monitoring tools, such as New Relic, Splunk or CloudWatch.
Implement clean and maintainable infrastructure-as-code that adheres to industry best practices.
What You Should Have:
2+ years experience in Cloud platform engineering.
2+ years experience in DevOps pipeline development.
A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather than do things manually.
Technical familiarity with the technology stack in a cloud environment.
AWS, Jenkins and CodeDeploy experience preferred.
Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and supporting technologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing conditions.
Able to multi-task, a strong communicator, well organized, self-starter.
Able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Must have a sense of humor (this is a fun place to work!) and ability to “roll with the punches”
