DevOps Engineer

Ultra Labs is a U.S.-based business incubator/accelerator that focuses on software/tech-based businesses. We are currently seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and deployment of cutting-edge solutions in a variety of sectors.

Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing the deployment, automation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure using AWS. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems, and work closely with development teams to streamline and optimize the software delivery process.

Responsibilities:
– Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure on AWS.
– Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud applications.
– Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and rapid delivery of software.
– Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
– Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
– Collaborate with development teams to optimize and streamline the software development lifecycle.
– Ensure security best practices are followed and conduct regular security assessments.
– Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and operations.

Qualifications:
– Excellent spoken and written English.
– 4+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure management.
– Strong proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
– Experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
– Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
– Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
– Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
– Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
– Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
– Ability to work independently with self-direction.
– Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
– Open and receptive to feedback.

Nice to Have:
– Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
– Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
– Knowledge of serverless architecture and functions.
– Experience with database administration and optimization.
