At Underwater Audio / AquaGuard, it is our mission to help people enjoy their time in and around the water. We do this by designing and building unique waterproof music players and earbuds, to enable swimmers to enjoy their favorite music, audiobooks, and podcasts while they swim. We also offer a full line of hair and skin care products to help swimmers keep their hair and skin healthy. We sell 100% DTC, all Ecommerce.
Until now, we have outsourced many of our marketing tasks to external agencies, but we’re excited to bring our team in-house.
That’s where you come in as our next Digital Content Strategist. As Digital Content Strategist, you will be responsible for planning, outlining, and crafting copy for all of our digital content. This includes emails, Shopify web pages, Amazon product listings, image ads, video ads, and organic social media.

What Success Looks Like:
Success in this position looks like maintaining high quality standards despite our high-output media schedule. We will post daily for both Underwater Audio and AquaGuard, and we will email multiple times per week. We also constantly test new landing pages and funnels, or run A/B tests on existing sales pages.
As our Digital Content Strategist, it is important that you’re able to balance a consistent, high-output media pipeline with your equally important, but slower cadence tasks like web pages and ad creative.
A successful candidate will be one who does not need constant feedback and direction on their planning and creative projects. This is a top-level creative role, and it is expected that you are not only capable of executing incredible copy, but conceiving of high-converting angles, funnels, and ideas on your own.
ONE THING:
Primary Objectives 20% BIG ROCKS – These must be done first and at all costs.
Maintain a full creative pipeline for our daily media schedule
Regular Work Activities 80% – These must be done ongoing daily/weekly after the BIG ROCKS are complete.
Identify CRO opportunities on our Shopify and Amazon product pages
Propose copy angles and A/B test ideas to our CMO
Provide new Ad copy to test on Facebook and Google
Help create SEO blog posts using AI tools
As Needed Activities – These must be done once assigned.
Update packaging copy
Update instructional copy
Miscellaneous marketing collateral
Mandatory Meetings – These meetings must be attended and meeting minutes taken and distributed.

Key Skills – What behavioral traits, attitudes, and skills are required
Independently creative – Some people can plan and execute only with specific instructions. You must be a person with your own vision for projects.
FAST Writer – You must be able to develop systems to enable you to keep up with our high-output media schedule (We will email, and post on multiple social media channels daily!).
Expert level copywriting skills.
Nuanced understanding of direct response email, social media marketing, and product page conversion techniques.
Strong understanding of Conversion Rate Optimization, backed by real experience.
People Contacts and Interactions – What are the primary people contacts in this job (who, why, and how often)?
CMO – you will report directly to our head of marketing for performance reviews, creative collaboration, and design related questions.
Marketing Coordinator – They are not your boss, but they will be responsible for helping your high-output workflow stay organized. Our marketing coordinator keeps our projects organized and moving forward smoothly. They will help you with deadline management, project details, etc.
Creative Director – They are not your boss, but they will be a key collaborator with you on developing high converting ads and landing pages.
Role Requirements
Experience, Training, and Education – What prior work and life experience will help the person in this role succeed? (Education, industry-specific, sales, administrative, management, customer-service)
5+ years of experience in a DTC Ecommerce copy role
5+ years of experience planning marketing funnels + landing pages
3+ Years of experience email copywriting
Native level English skills + deep understanding of American culture.
