Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and talented Digital Marketing Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting our client services team with various digital marketing tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, both verbal and written, and be proficient in multiple social media platforms, project management software, and digital marketing tools.
Responsibilities:
Assist the client services team with daily digital marketing tasks.
Manage and create content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
Specialize in effectively planning, organizing, and executing social media campaigns across various platforms as a Social Media Scheduler.
Meticulously schedule content to ensure optimal reach, engagement, and consistency in online presence.
Work closely with our team to understand our client’s goals, target audience, and brand voice to develop a well-rounded social media strategy.
Use Basecamp for project management and collaboration.
Utilize Google Suite (Gmail, Documents, Sheets) for various tasks and reporting.
Collect, compile, and prepare ongoing reporting for Google and Social Analytics for client reporting.
Develop and implement organic search strategies and content for Local and Regional SEO.
Write compelling show (podcast and video series) episode descriptions, headlines, and social media posts to promote content.
Upload content to platforms like Youtube.
Manage email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp, Constant Contact.
Perform data mining and build data lists for company use, serving a wide variety of clients, including professional services, retail clients, non-profits, and more.
Demonstrate a good understanding and eye for good design in graphics and video.
Design of certain graphic assets for reporting and some social media for clients – typically on platforms such as Canva.
Qualifications:
Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
Experience with project management software, particularly Basecamp.
Knowledge of Google Suite (Documents, Sheets).
Understanding of Google Analytics and ability to generate reports.
Familiarity with SEO best practices for Local and Regional SEO.
Excellent writing skills for content creation and social media promotion.
Experience with email marketing platforms, specifically Mailchimp.
Experience in data mining and building data lists.
Good understanding and eye for good design in graphics and video.
Experience with digital design platforms such as Adobe and/or Canva.
Must have a computer with high speed internet.
Availability for phone/zoom calls with our team between the hours of 8am to 10am and 3pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday, Mountain Standard Time (Alberta, Canada). Your time will be flexible through the rest of the week, based on completing a schedule of deliverables.
