Job Description

Our Australian based business is seeking a digital marketing manager to oversee our online marketing activities. The role is 100% online and work from home.

Summary

Must have at least 5 years recent experience managing small business marketing operations. Must have an excellent understanding of digital marketing i.e. SEO, Blogs, Google Ads, Organic Social Media (LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram) and Meta Ads.

Our ideal candidate will be able to complete digital marketing activities in-house with a small budget for advertising and specialist assistance.

Further, our ideal candidate will understand the property and development industry in Australia (Property Developers, Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Urban Planning, Government).

Marketing Plan

– You will have experience creating and adhereing to marketing plans for small business/es.

– You will be responsible for creating marketing plan/s with the managing director

– You will be responsible for creating targets and KPIs for your role

Brand Consistency

– Ensure overall brand aesthetic and tone of voice is cohesive for all digital marketing activities

– Identify opportunities to improve Brand messaging

Podcast

The managing director has a podcast where she interviews people from the Australian Property industry. Each interview is about 20-30 minutes in length.

– Assist with scheduling interviews.

– Collate information and imagery in preparation of scheduled interviews.

– Provide interview recordings to podcast editor with notes in a timely manner.

– Review edits prior to managing directors’ approval.

– Publish podcast recordings with correct details.

– Publish content to social media channels and website about each recording.

SEO

We have 1 website that we have been actively working on Search Engine Optimisation for over the past 6 months.

– You will be responsible for seeing SEO improvements and meeting targets.

– You will be responsible for link building, content creation (blogs) and tracking metrics.

– You will be able to provide a checklist of tasks to be carried out to improve SEO and carry these out in-house or with a specialist.

Google Adwords

We have been utilising a Google Ads company, but preference is to bring this in-house.

– You will have an excellent understanding of how Google Adwords work and how to setup and optimise

– You will be responsible for ensuing ROI on pay per click and targets are met.

Google MyBusiness

– You will be responsible for updating this account and ensuring all information is correct.

– You will be responsible for responding to google reviews and assisting with obtaining reviews from company clients.

Organic Social Media

We currently use, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook with content created and accounts managed by the Director.

– You will manage all social media accounts to grow engagement and relevant audiences.

– You will have experience with content creation and scheduling posts.

– You will do outreach to followers and non-followers.

– You will manage the social media account inbox and respond to messages appropriately.

– You will manage the growth of groups pages.

Paid Meta Ads

– You will have experience and understand how Meta ads work for Instagram and Facebook

– You will understand how Meta ads are set up.

Email List

– You will be responsible for marketing emails to clients and potential clients

– You will have experience in segmentation.

– You have a good understanding of the relevant laws around spam emails and how to ensure deliverability of emails.

Team Management

Currently the managing director manages all digital marketing contractors. Where specialist contractors are required you will be responsible for:

– Ensuring each specialist delivers work professionally and on time

– Budgets and expenses are accounted for and an ROI is determined

– Seeking new specialists to assist with digital marketing with managing directors approval

Please note: The above activities have been carried out by the Managing Director solo with the assistance of a couple of contractors. The expectation is that as a full time dedicated Digital Marketing Manager, you can exceed the past growth metrics.
