Marketing Manager Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all marketing projects for two companies under the same management.
As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing various marketing initiatives to drive organic growth, enhance SEO efforts, and manage social media accounts. Additionally, you will be responsible for influencer outreach, coordination, and implementing off-Amazon marketing strategies. This is a remote position that requires flexibility, strong organization, and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet crucial deadlines. We are looking for someone who is committed to going above and beyond their call of duty and can work independently in a remote setting.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive organic growth, and backlinks, and enhance SEO efforts for both companies’ blog sites.
Supervise the on-time execution of all social media strategies for both companies, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement.
Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers to promote products and services across various channels.
Coordinate influencer outreach campaigns, including negotiation, tracking, and reporting on influencer partnerships.
Implement and manage off-Amazon marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and reach new customers.
Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, generate reports, and provide insights for optimization.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices to identify new marketing opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and customer support, to align marketing efforts with business goals.
Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring maximum return on investment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Marketing Manager or similar role, preferably in the e-commerce industry, but not required.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience with optimizing blog content for organic growth.
Proficient in social media management and content creation across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Familiarity with influencer marketing and experience in identifying and collaborating with influencers.
Solid knowledge of off-Amazon marketing strategies, including content marketing, email marketing, and partnerships.
Excellent analytical skills to measure and interpret marketing performance metrics.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and remotely.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
Detail-oriented and committed to meeting deadlines.
Attention to detail, such as making sure that when you email your resume, you use I’m Marketing Manager material as the subject line of the email and include the words I love board games in your cover letter.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
As a Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our marketing efforts and achieving specific goals. Your performance will be evaluated based on key performance indicators that focus on timely deliverables and the organic reach and growth of both websites.
On-time Deliverables: Meeting deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of marketing projects will be a vital KPI for this position. Your ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet crucial deadlines will contribute to the overall success of our marketing initiatives.
Organic Reach and Growth: Another critical KPI will be the organic reach and growth of both our websites. You will be responsible for implementing SEO strategies, optimizing blog content, and driving organic traffic to increase visibility and engagement. Monitoring website metrics, analyzing performance, and implementing effective strategies to enhance organic growth will be key to achieving this KPI.
By focusing on these KPIs, you will have a direct impact on our marketing success, driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and ultimately, revenue growth. We believe that by setting clear goals and providing you with the necessary support and resources, we can achieve remarkable results together.
Day in the Life of a Marketing Manager at The Goven House:
You log into Clickup and look at the list of tasks due today, and this week. You then log into Slack and communicate with the team about the tasks that are being worked on and offer help with one of the tasks that our content writer is having problems with. You consult with our graphic designer and get a handful of ideas on how to solve the problem and come up with the top 2 or 3 answers. You discuss it with the team and decide that option 2 is the best choice and ask the team to implement the changes.
In the afternoon, you revise the weekly created ahrefs report and analyze the recommendations and ask the team to make any fixes necessary. You realize the outsourced video editor is falling behind on his tasks, so you communicate with the editor to have a better grasp on deliverables and adjust schedules as necessary.
Before the end of the day, you log into the spreadsheet where the influencer outreach workflow is kept and follow up with the influencers that are non-responsive.
As a Marketing Manager at The Goven House, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented and passionate team, tackle diverse projects, and contribute to the growth of both companies. Your dedication, strong organizational skills, and ability to adapt to new challenges will be instrumental in achieving success in this role. Feel free to send us your resume to . Hope you join our team!
