About the role
We’re looking for an experienced digital marketer to join our team. This role will offer a mix of campaign strategy, optimisation and reporting. You’ll work within our marketing team, helping plan and execute campaigns across performance advertising channels – such as Google Ads (Search, Shopping and Display), SEO and Facebook Ads, Tiktok Ads, Pinterest Ads and more.

This is a long-term full-time hybrid role. We provide a comprehensive onboarding program to get you set up for success with expert tools and technology at your fingertips.

SEO:
You’ll provide expert advice on content strategy, on and off-page optimisation, and identify and resolve technical SEO problems across content management systems. You’ll have a solid understanding of keyword research and general SEO processes, able to develop and manage SEO strategies, drive quality relevant backlinks to improve and get results using tools to track site traffic to help us achieve our business goals.

Key SEO attributes we’re looking for…
• Experience with SEO verticals (e.g. strategy, technical, on-page, off-page, content, link building and reporting)
• Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
• Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
• Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.
• Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
• Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
• Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
• Research and analyze competitor advertising links
• Develop and implement link building strategy
• Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code
• Work with marketing team to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
• Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

Search Engine Marketing (SEM):
If you are a Google search specialist looking to be part of an iconic Kiwi brand that supports home grown eCommerce this is the role for you. In this role you’ll be creating, executing and optimizing data driven digital marketing that stimulates measurable demand for core business verticals through paid Search Engine Marketing.

Key SEM attributes we’re looking for…
• E-commerce and/or Google shopping campaign knowledge & experience in a similar role is a must!
• Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing.
• Execute on the SEM strategy with our marketing manager – this includes but isn’t limited to optimisation, budget planning/allocation and reporting for all SEM campaigns across desktop and mobile plus Google Shopping.
• Optimise paid search campaigns and Google Shopping by consistently reviewing performance, ensuring goals are achieved while continuing to test and broaden paid search exposure.
• Provide regular SEM reporting, present data and facilitate discussions in a way that is clear and articulate to all stakeholders
• Manage the Google Merchant Centre feeds working closely with technical and sales/supply teams.
• Senior understanding of Google AdWords and Google Analytics
• Google certification(s) is a bonus
• Google Tag Manager, User Interface and User Experience design is ideal

Social Media attributes we’re looking for…
• Developing social media content plans that are consistent with the company’s brand identity.
• Using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite Pro, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the
company’s social media presence and performance.
• Suggest recommendations to adjust the social media marketing strategy for optimal results.
• Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media.
• Proven expertise in social media – you know your way around the back end and front end of all the major platforms (FB, IG,
TikTok, LinkedIn etc) and have experience with paid social media via Ads Manager etc
• High level strategic thinking and insight – you know what makes great social content (beyond a pretty pic) and more
importantly you’re a pro at getting results
• Content creation skills and basic graphic design abilities (you know your way around Adobe Creative Suite and ‘can make
Canva not look like Canva’)
• High attention to detail – your spelling and grammar are spot on

Other requirements & skills we’re looking for…
• BS/MS degree in a quantitative, test-driven field
• Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
• In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
• Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
• Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
• Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
• High level of personal integrity, confidence and initiative
• A good listener with attention to detail & ability to multi-task with ease
• Adaptable self-starter comfortable working in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable to work autonomously
• Organised, proactive, enthusiastic, humble, fun and a team player
• Flexibility to support New Zealand standard operating hours, Monday to Friday (not shift work)
