SOFX Inc. the parent company of the SOFX family of companies is currently seeking a Digital Media Editor to provide content management and writing support to the SOFX Media Team.

-The company began self-publication of a daily email newsletter covering topics about the global special operations community and personal empowerment.
-Seeking a Digital Media Editor who will be responsible for managing the digital content within the SOFX Digital Ecosystem, including the website and Email Service Provider.
The Role
-Collaborate and report directly to the Media Team Leader in accordance with the SOFX editorial policies.
-Assist with the creation of Articles and other copy-based content with a focus on topics including the Military, United States Government, Special Operations Forces, International Relations, United States Defense Department, Cyber Security, and Emerging Technology.
– Manage online publications, draft email campaigns and write article content reflecting the SOFX ideals and policies, and provide accurate reporting of all assigned subject matter.
– Develop content for dissemination via social media, websites, and other distribution channels.
– Serve as the organization’s media liaison.
– Manage the Ad Placement Matrix and coordination.
– Supervise the editor inbox and newsletter customer service.
The Background Profile
– Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or any related field is preferred
– Proven work experience as a Digital Media Editor or Social Media Manager
– Solid background in writing and publishing newsletters and Web fluency
– Expert in navigating WordPress is highly preferred
– Ghostwriting experience is a plus
– Solid understanding of relevant or applicable U.S. copyright laws including paraphrasing and expression of ideas
– Experience in writing emails with an Email Service Provider is preferred but not required
– Skilled in AI content Tools (Chat GPT, Jasper, Grammarly) is preferred but not required
– Proficient in MS Office and Sharepoint
– Knowledgeable in using Sendinblue or Mailchimp is a plus
– Advanced proficiency in English (specifically writing but also speaking); this includes proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading
– Desire to exceed expectations, and reflect positively on the brand
The Ideal Background
– Ability to work an evening schedule/early night hours five days a week with increased workload near the end of the week; mandatory hours for time-sensitive work will be Monday – Friday from approximately 8 am – 12 pm EST
– Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
– Has a sense of urgency in both tasks and communication; takes initiative, anticipates needs, and ability to meet deadlines consistently
– Strong leadership, organizational and time-management skills
