Dabblefox is a software tool that helps colleges manage their cleaning staff. The first step of using the tool is to take the PDF or CAD version of a building, and convert it into Revit. I’m looking for a person who can both create the Revit files, and work directly with my customers to verify that the floor plans are accurate.
When colleges send in their drawings, they’re often a mix of scans of 50 year old hand-drawn .tifs, emergency evacuation drawings in .dwg, and actual design drawings. Then when we show what we’ve produced to the customers, the will often realize that there’s been a remodel since the drawings were made, and we’ll need to make additional modifications. You will need to be both as accurate to the drawings as possible, and responsive to the changes they send in. You’ll also need to keep communicating with them to ask for drawings and corrections, as getting us drawings is often not their top priority.
I’ll be involved in all of the customer calls, but you will lead the conversation related to creating floor plans.
You will also be responsible for uploading the drawings into the software — with guidance at first, and moving into doing it independently as you become comfortable with doing so.
At times, there won’t be any drawings that need to be created. Depending on your skill set, I may ask you to create marketing material, do research, data entry, and other tasks related to the business. There will also be times when there is a large amount of drafting to do, and you will be able to bill as many hours as you’d like.
_Requirements_:
– Able to draw buildings in Revit quickly and accurately
– Able to infer missing information (many drawings will be missing dimensions / room numbers / be very low quality scans / etc)
– Able to communicate with customers via email and Zoom calls
Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM360 a plus.
_Schedule_:
– Daily check-in calls between 8-9pm Eastern Time (US) – Typically 5-15 minutes
– Customer calls will be during US Business hours. These will typically happen less than once per week, and the schedule will be dependent on the customer.
– All work can be done on your preferred schedule
