As a Product Research Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our success by identifying and sourcing high-demand, profitable products for our Shopify dropshipping stores.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, niches, and potential target audiences.
Product Identification: Utilize data analysis tools and Shopify apps to pinpoint products with high demand and profit potential.
Supplier and Vendor Sourcing: Identify and negotiate with reliable suppliers and vendors for selected products, managing pricing, shipping, and returns.
Product Listing and Optimization: Create compelling product listings on our Shopify store, optimizing titles, descriptions, images, and pricing for maximum conversions.
Inventory Management: Monitor product inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure products are consistently in stock.
Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that product quality consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations, and address quality-related issues promptly.
Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze product performance metrics, providing regular reports to the management team.
Adaptation to Trends: Continuously stay informed about changing market trends and customer preferences, adjusting our product offerings accordingly.
Customer Feedback and Reviews: Gather and analyze customer feedback and reviews to improve product selection and promptly address customer inquiries.
Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, advertising, and customer support teams to create and execute effective campaigns based on product selections.
Legal and Compliance: Ensure that products adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements, including safety and labeling standards.
Testing and Experimentation: Conduct A/B testing for product listings and pricing, experimenting with different product bundles and upselling techniques.
Budget Management: Manage the budget allocated for product acquisition and marketing, making cost-effective decisions in product selection and sourcing.
Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce and Shopify best practices by attending relevant training sessions and webinars.
Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks associated with products, such as legal issues, market saturation, or changing consumer preferences.
Expansion and Diversification: Explore opportunities to expand our product offerings and diversify our product portfolio.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a consistently positive customer experience by providing high-quality products and addressing customer concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in e-commerce product research and Shopify dropshipping.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and Shopify apps.
Familiarity with e-commerce regulations and compliance standards.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
