Hello, I’m Paul and I publish the Shopifreaks E-commerce Newsletter every Monday afternoon.
I’m looking for help from a writer with experience in the e-commerce industry to help me curate articles for inclusion in the newsletter each week. Your job would be to spend 1-2 hours each day reading e-commerce news from select sources, choosing articles most relevant to our audience, and writing a short summary (around 280 characters) to post on our social media.
?? Our Best Candidates Have:
1. Interest / experience in the e-commerce industry. That could be from copywriting, blogging, working for an e-commerce store, etc. You need to understand the basics of the e-commerce industry like who the major platforms and marketplaces are and how various software, social media, and ancillary platforms connect within the e-commerce ecosystem, so that you can recognize which articles would be considered “newsworthy” each week.
2. English proficiency. Our publication is written in US English and caters to a primarily US audience.
3. Consistent window of time each day to dedicate to this task. We are flexible on when that window is, but it needs to be consistent each day so that we can schedule our writers around your output. This is a Monday thru Friday gig.
???? How To Apply:
1. Read one or two recent editions of our newsletter to get a feel for the type of content we publish each week. You can find our archives at: /category/newsletters/ – Particularly pay attention to sections #9 and #10 towards the bottom of the newsletter archives, as these would be the types of short summaries you’d be writing.
2. Send us a brief message and tell us about your past experience with e-commerce and why this particular gig is of interest to you.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you
PAUL
