E-Commerce Operations Administrator (Logistics and Finance)

We’re a small but fast-growing e-Commerce company, Australia based, in the outdoor cooking product niche, and we are looking for a full-time e-Commerce Operations Administrator.
We are a remote-first company that offers a Sydney, Australia timezone.
Forget about graveyard shifts!

What you’ll be doing:
Process every order fulfilment by either monitoring automated 3PL orders for issues or the organisation of ‘supplier-direct-to-customer’ orders.
Ensure that courier costs remain within the budget on an order by order and monthly basis.
Being fully responsible for the customer satisfaction of their order delivery within our timeframes.
Answering courier-freight related customer concerns efficiently either through online chat, support ticket or telephone.
Finance/Accounting related tasks such as invoice processing and ensuring approving costs for payment. Ensure that the website will never run out of stock.
Manage and operate the inventory and stock management process; managing the flow of goods from manufacturer/supplier to our 3PLs.
Ensure sales & marketing campaigns are backed up by appropriate levels of stock
Assist with overall cash flow and cost reduction initiatives
Provide input for daily, weekly and end of the month reporting
Assist with other logistics projects such as new warehouse sourcing, continuous cost comparisons etc.
Suggest and implement solutions for process optimization.
Invoice checking and accounting administration generally.
Role requirements
Knowledge of logistics operations and shipping procedures and documents
Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounting
Autonomy. You’re self-motivated, self-directed, and eager to take ownership of tasks to ensure swift resolution.
Expert project management skills.
An expert level of customer service skills.
Great interpersonal and communication skills. You’re a team player and can collaborate effectively.
Excellent organization and time management systems.
Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to get hands dirty and build systems from the ground up.
Orientation to details and analytical mindset. No small details will slip by you and you make your decisions based on data
Organization.

You are organized, be able to plan in advance and create a clean logistical set-up – firefighting is great but we do not want fires in the first place 🙂
