We are seeking a talented and experienced E-commerce Web Developer to join our team and play a key role in building and enhancing our online retail platform. As an E-commerce Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our e-commerce websites to provide an exceptional user experience and drive business growth. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the success of our online business.

Main responsibilities:

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, marketers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the e-commerce website.
– Develop and maintain robust, scalable, secure e-commerce websites using industry best practices and modern web technologies.
– Implement and customize e-commerce platforms (such as Squarespace, Shopify, and other industry-specific platforms) to meet business needs and ensure seamless integration with payment gateways, inventory systems, and third-party APIs.
– Create and optimize database structures to handle large volumes of product data, customer information, and order management.
– Design and implement responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces, ensuring consistent branding and visual appeal across all devices.
– Enhance website performance, speed, and reliability through efficient coding practices, caching mechanisms, and server optimization techniques.
– Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in the e-commerce websites.
– Monitor website analytics, generate reports, and provide insights to improve conversion rates, user engagement, and overall website performance.
– Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in e-commerce and web development, making recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.

What you need:

*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
*Proven experience as an E-commerce Web Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing successful e-commerce projects
*Proficiency in front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap)
*Solid understanding of server-side languages (e.g., PHP, Python, or Ruby) and frameworks commonly used in e-commerce development

What would be a plus:

*Experience working with popular e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Squarespace, Magento, WooCommerce) and their customization
*Knowledge of database systems, including SQL, and experience in designing and optimizing database structures
