Our client based in Australia is a management and education consulting firm dedicated to having an impact through research, innovation, and development and is currently looking for a creative and reliable eLearning Developer.

About the Role:

The e-Learning Developer is responsible for building and maintaining online courses using a learning management system. This includes building course content (including interactive course elements, embedding videos, and quizzes), migrating content, revising existing materials, ensuring content meets accessibility standards, quality assurance, and troubleshooting LMS issues. Additional responsibilities may include testing new features, providing support, and handling ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Understand the content structure and build online courses which involve using a WYSIWYG editor in a learning management system. Ex: adding lectures, videos, assessments, project directions, and interactive activities (H5P, iframes) for new courses
Migrate content from Word/PDF documents into the LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle)
Revise existing course content based on feedback
Ensure content meets WCAG accessibility guidelines (2.1 AA)
Participate in information exchange with educators or other LMS admins
Understand and fix LMS issues concerned with LMS design, infrastructure, or configuration
Manage the testing and evaluation of new features and tools that integrate with the LMS by facilitating and managing external product
Responsible for second-level support of learning management system (LMS) content, date restrictions, master course and section creation, assessments/test banks, course revisions, etc.
Provide quality assurance
Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Qualifications and skills:

Has at least 3 years of experience in a related or equivalent role
Strong English communication skills, both oral and written
Strong knowledge of learning management systems and e-learning technology
Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
Proven ability to adapt continually and learn new procedures and software programs
Knowledge of web-based instruction
Knowledge of information architecture principles and methods
Has excellent decision-making abilities and takes the initiative to ensure projects adhere to deadlines
High level of problem-solving skills
Highly organized and pays careful attention to detail
Independent, self-sufficient, and highly resourceful
Values integrity and reliability
Has a good initiative to keep the client abreast always
