Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ecommerce all-rounder to join our team and assist with running our online pet store. As an Ecommerce Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the day-to-day operations of our online business. The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in ecommerce or marketing, with a strong sense of deisign and understanding of Shopify and Meta Ads Manager. Familiarity with common online marketing strategies (basic social media ads structure, landing page structure, funnels, sign-up forms) is preferred.

Ideally, the candidate will be available for full time work.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Marketing (about 70% of work hours)
– Creating new image and GIF ads on Canva (ideas/text will be provided by other staff)
– Creating and updating landing pages based on instructions given (copy, images to be provided)
– Launching new campaigns on Meta Ads (full instructions and setup will be given)
– Research and coming up with ideas on marketing strategy
– Finding and hiring other Upwork editors when required to make any special images or videos
– Other ad-hoc marketing projects

Store and inventory management: (about 30% of work hours)
– Managing product listings and inventory
– Updating Shopify store and product listings during promotional periods
– Managing inventory levels and communicating with warehouse about any issues
– Working with customer service agent to rectify any issues
– Taking over customer service tasks when our agent is on holiday or sick leave (about 10-20 days a year)
– Other ad-hoc store management responsibilities

Required Knowledge and Skills:
– Proficient in Shopify
– Proficient in Canva or Photoshop
– Proficient in ChatGPT
– Proficient with Meta Ads Manager
– Familiar with Landing Page Builders: Zipify Pages, Shogun, PageFly or others
– Familiar with Klaviyo
– Familiar with project management platform such as Asana, Trello, or similar
– Familiar with Online Marketing methods: Ads, Landing Pages, Funnels, Sign-up Forms, Etc

Other Requirements:
– Excellent English is essential
– Excellent verbal communication is essential (daily calls and communication are part of the job)
– High speed internet
– Part Time or Full Time work will be considered. Must be available in the agreed working hours.
