eCommerce Operations Manager (Supply Chain and Logistics) experience with Microsoft Business Central required

This role is 100% work from home with a quarterly in-person meeting.

In this role, you will:

Supply Chain Management

– Collaborate with manufacturers in China for production schedules, quality control, and inventory levels.
– Ensure product quality, pricing adherence, and timely shipments.
– Advocate for accelerated production when necessary.
– Negotiate favorable payment terms.
– Guarantee compliance with toy safety, testing, and other regulatory standards.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective product lifecycle and inventory management.

Third-Party Warehouse Oversight

– Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant shipments from third-party warehouses (two).
– Strive for shipping and receiving efficiency, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
– Guarantee that products align with customer shipping specifications.
– Aim to reduce both inbound and outbound freight costs.

Analytical & Financial Acumen

– Evaluate gross margins for individual SKUs, SKU categories, and brand totals.
– Understand and seek improvement in factors affecting our gross margins.
– Forecast factory purchases based on sales predictions.
– Regularly report and drive improvements based on operational metrics and insights.
– Critically analyze and optimize processes and workflows.

Information Technology Expertise

– Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central or other robust ERP systems.
– Familiarity with EDI and other third-party order processing platforms.

– Travel to China 1-2 times annually.

About You:

Core qualifications:

– 5 to 7 years of experience in operations, logistics, or a similar field.
– Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, or a related field. (Master’s preferred)
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
– Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Business Central.
– Familiarity with EDI and other third-party order processing platforms.
– Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
– Ability to travel internationally

Advantageous:

Experience with Amazon Vendor/Seller Central and Walmart portals is a plus.
