Job Description

We are looking for an experienced copywriter to join our team in the USA. We write SEO copy for Amazon and eCommerce retail platforms. This position plays a crucial role in creating compelling and persuasive written content for various products, listings and marketing materials to help engage customers, and sell products.
The copywriter should be able to carry out the following tasks:
RESEARCH:
Conduct thorough research to understand the client’s needs, product features, benefits, and target audience to create content that resonates with potential buyers.
Understand consumer preferences, competitor listings and industry trends to inform content strategy
SEO OPTIMIZATION:
Utilize keyword research and SEO best practices to optimize product listings and other content for search engine ranking. We will offer training on best research method’s and tools
UNDERSTANDING BRAND VOICE:
Conduct high-quality research to maintain and adapt the brand’s voice, tone and style guidelines while ensuring consistency across all online platforms and communications
Be able to tailor content to specific product categories and target audiences
CONTENT CREATION:
Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
Write product descriptions, titles and bullet points that are clear, concise and engaging, to entice customers to make informed buying decisions
Write product descriptions, titles and bullet points that are informative and optimized for search engines to enhance product visibility and conversions
Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials
Develop persuasive and SEO-optimized copy for Amazon and other eCommerce retail platforms to enhance discoverability and rankings
Revise copy based on internal and external client feedback
EDITING AND PROOFREADING:
Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to Amazon’s and other eCommerce retail platforms’ guidelines and best practices regarding product claims
Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, grammar and compliance with the client’s policies
COLLABORATION:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, to create cohesive and effective content
CONTINUOUS LEARNING:
Stay up to date with e-commerce and digital marketing trends, including changes in Amazon’s and other eCommerce retail platforms’ policies and algorithms, to adapt strategies and optimize listings accordingly
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience as a copywriter, preferable in eCommerce, digital marketing or online retail
An understanding of SEO practices and keyword research tools (preferable)
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
Familiarity with Amazon’s and other eCommerce retail platforms’ marketplace (preferable)
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
Creative thinking and the ability to adapt to changing strategies and consumer preferences
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
Familiarity with / proficiency in tools such as ClickUp, , Asana, Slack
Proficiency in all Microsoft programs e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams
Proficiency in all Google programs e.g. Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, Calendar, Slides
