About the Opportunity:
As an eCommerce Assistant, you will be responsible for creating, editing, monitoring, and optimizing our BigCommerce website in a consistent way with our brand standards in mind. Our number one goal is to deliver a world-class customer experience! A successful eCommerce Assistant will combine an understanding of visual merchandising and what drives eCommerce sales, as well as a passion for user experience to improve the onsite merchandising strategy.

You will build an unparalleled shopping experience across the entire website by collaborating with our SEO, UX/UI, Marketing, Creative, and Sales teams to tell key merchandising stories for our customers. You will collaborate on the development of eCommerce merchandising strategy and tactical plans that will help meet and/or exceed company revenue and profitability goals. You will partner with cross functional teams to ensure all products have images, copy, and pricing in accordance with planned launch dates, as well as manage product launches, sales and promotions, and marketing projects. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail and is familiar with eCommerce stores and products. Experience and interest with SEO is preferred.

Responsibilities:
– As an eCommerce Assistant you support the day to day maintenance of our website
– Daily workflow will be focused making sure the website is up to date with the latest product, pricing, & promotional information
– Some of the daily activities will include creating new product pages, updating existing product pages, creating specific use landing pages, monitoring pages for necessary edits or removals, communicating with manufacturers for updated information, offering technical support to fellow team members, and assisting in troubleshooting with our developer
– During our busy times the workflow may change on a daily basis to address the most pressing needs
– Generally keeps the website up to date with latest product and price information
– Manages the technical side of the website; creating landing pages for Adwords campaigns, specific promotions, and individual stores
– Works with stores and various internal departments to make sure the website is properly configured for their needs
– Communicates with manufacturers, and vendors regarding products to ensure we have accurate information displayed on the website
– Uses keen attention to detail to ensure consistent brand and editorial standards
– Contributes to the content, architecture, implementation, visual design, and ongoing operations of the company website
– Assists with troubleshooting the website and collecting information for our web developer

Requirements:
– 3-5 years experience with eCommerce merchandising or related experience
– Experience with the BigCommerce platform
– This person will have demonstrated skill with technical tools and processes through website management, digital marketing, advanced data analysis or other relevant experience
– Bachelor’s degree in merchandising or business-related field or 3+ years of experience in online merchandising, marketing, or – eCommerce for a top-tier direct-to-consumer brand
– Deep knowledge of eCommerce best practices; very strong merchandising “eye”
– Well-versed in full Microsoft suite, website analytics, and proficient in analyzing data for eCommerce decision making
– Proven ability to link knowledge of branding and target customers to key eCommerce elements in order to drive the business
– Ability to empathize with customers to understand their core needs, gather insights and create solutions that build the business with a customer-centric approach in the short and long term
– Partners well cross-functionally and develops efficient processes for feedback and collaboration; able to work side-by-side clearly and consistently across functions and departments and synthesize multiple points of view into a coherent action plan
– Strong creative, critical thinking, and intuitive problem-solving skills
– Superb communication skills, clear and concise in both written and verbal communication
– Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize
– Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
– Experience using eCommerce-based platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, PIM, DAM
