The Editorial Content Assistant supports the editorial and marketing departments in the planning and publication of print and digital content. Duties include formatting manuscripts and transcripts for editing; repackaging long-form content for reposting on social media; correspondence and scheduling for interviews and photography sessions; communicating with team members to assist in creating the in-house newsletter; and updating and maintaining content-tracking spreadsheets.
Required Skills:
* Experience using Google Docs: must be able to format the text of unedited manuscripts, compile text from other sources into documents, and format transcripts according to a set of in-house standards
* Experience using Google Sheets: must be able to accurately enter information and keep spreadsheets updated as new information comes in
* Experience with Photo editing: ability to check resolution for print quality and to resize images for different social platforms
* Experience with Video editing: ability to edit and repackage longform video into shorter clips and add text/titles
* Experience with professional correspondence via email: must be comfortable communicating by email to schedule interviews or photography and in requests for content from contributors
* Experience following brand or style guidelines
* Experience providing administrative support for multiple projects and varying deadlines
* Ability to conduct internet research and compile the results into a document or spreadsheet
What hours will I work?
• Monday – Friday
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
Requirements for the Job :
– should have Extensive experience as Editor or Editorial Asst
– Excellent English both Oral & Written
– Have a isolated work space(free from background noise ), computer with updated version & capacity, good quality of noise cancelling headset
– Internet Speed should be at least 10mbps both for upload & download.
– Have Outstanding Work Ethics
