We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented video editor to produce short-form educational videos (in a TikTok like style) for our organization. The successful candidate will work part-time to edit and create engaging and informative short-form videos that will educate and entertain our audience on a variety of educational topics. Our immediate needs our editing videos in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and chemistry.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit raw footage to produce high-quality videos that meet the organization’s standards for quality and content.
Develop visually appealing graphics and animations that enhance the educational content of the videos.
Collaborate with our educational team to ensure that the videos accurately convey the desired message and are appropriate for our target audience.
Stay up-to-date with trends in video editing and social media to ensure that our videos remain fresh, engaging, and informative.
Manage and maintain video editing software to ensure that all videos are produced in a timely and efficient manner.
Review engagement metrics and adjust video content accordingly to maximize views and audience engagement.
Ensure that all videos are optimized for mobile viewing and meet Edily’s formatting requirements.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in video editing or a related field.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Experience producing content for social media platforms, specifically TikTok.
Knowledge of animation and graphic design principles.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
A passion for education and a desire to create engaging and informative content.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in film production, video editing, animation, graphic design, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
