Job Summary:
We are looking to hire an experienced electrical estimator to determine the approximate costs of various electrical installations for industrial and residential projects by interpreting blueprints accurately. The electrical estimator’s responsibilities include determining how long each contracting job will last, researching market prices for project materials and equipment, and communicating with clients to determine the scope of each project. You should also be able to identify ways to continually improve cost-estimating procedures to reduce inconsistencies between estimated and actual project costs.

To succeed in this role, you must possess a deep understanding of electrical codes and distribution systems. An active electrician license is a mandatory requirement. Additionally, exceptional time management and analytical abilities are critical for this position.

Job Description:
-Prepare estimates for electrical projects
-Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation
-Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely estimates
-Determining the electrical needs of the project.
-Drawing the outline and blueprints for the said electrical system.
-Placing the utility, workstation, and other fixtures as per the specifications.
-Understanding and interpreting the blueprints.
-Reviewing the plan to estimate the length of electrical wire.
-Identifying the cost and time constraints.
-Knowing the supply cost for each individual element.
-Determining the labor requirements for completing the project.
-Working in coordination with Contractors and other team members.
-Maintaining electrical cost database.
-Performing calculations of various profitability solutions.
-Negotiating with the suppliers and vendors.
-Maintaining a healthy relationship with the vendors.
-Identifying the risk involved in the project.
-Explaining the cost of wastage materials.
-Completing the project bids as per the guidelines.
-Adhering to all the electrical rules and regulations.

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
-3+ years working experience as an Electrical Estimator, Electrical Engineer, or a similar role in Construction industry
-Proficient in estimation software(Groundplan software experience highly preferred)
-Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and regulations is highly favourable Sound organizational and time management skills.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills
