Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced Email Marketing Specialist to create and execute email marketing strategies for our clients that generates incremental sales revenue from email and SMS.
We’ve built a great reputation in the market for delivering great results for our clients from email, and we are now looking for new talent to manage our expanding client portfolio.
You should be ready and willing to get great satisfaction from assisting your portfolio of brands to build better engagement with their audiences, driving not only sales, but also lifetime value. You will also be willing to become an integral part of our expert team of email specialists.
In addition to your email marketing skills, you should possess excellent people skills, project management skills, integrity and attention to detail as well as a proactive mindset.
You’ll report directly to the Head of Fulfilment.
Responsibilities
Your job will be to use your past experience to:
Be the key point of contact for clients & competently manage multiple clients simultaneously (up to 10 clients at a single time).
Manage the delivery of key email marketing services to the client – on time & on budget. Eg. email automation flow build project.
Manage the internal Flowstate teams (e.g. scripting or design) with tasks and deliverables required to complete a client project or campaign.
Deliver a concise and considered email marketing strategy to the client that addresses their key business & customer needs.
Have a strong understanding of key eCommerce and email metrics that allows for clear recommendations to improve sales performance.
Have a strong understanding of the anatomy of a great email (script, images, mobile design, deliverability and so on).
Have the ability to clearly explain key email marketing concepts to our clients when questions are raised.
Be able to upsell our email services when a clear client need has been identified, engaging with the client to help them understand the need.
Run customer email journey mapping sessions to outline the structure of proposed flows.
Understand the key levers in email deliverability + have the ability to recommend strategies to improve inbox placement.
Setting-up new client accounts in Klaviyo or other major email service providers (ESPs)
Migrating data and templates from existing ESP
Integrating with the client’s e-commerce platform
Creating key customer segments
Email template testing (Email on Acid)
Building & populating email flows
Email flow testing
Client reviews and approvals
Building preference pages
Campaign ideation and email campaign management
Experience
You should have past experience of excellence building email strategies and implementing campaigns and automation flows to:
Build audiences
Gain greater engagement
Grow sales revenue
Grow lifetime value
You should also be adept at building client relationships and managing expectations. Open and transparent communication will create trust in your recommendations & strategies. This is how we have managed to maintain such great relationships with our brands over the past 4-years.
You should be comfortable using all major email platforms, project management software, Asana, Slack, SystemsHub, Google Drive, Zoom and other cloud based communication tools.
You should also be confident enough to push back on a brand/client and express your opinion if you think the ship is heading off course. We encourage that.
All email strategies will be based on data and you will present a data point or metric with each recommendation presented to your brand.
