Position Overview
As an Email Marketing Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and executing multi-channel messaging strategies, covering email, SMS, WhatsApp, and app notifications. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and analytical skills to craft targeted campaigns that resonate with our audience and achieve business goals. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to segment audiences, create compelling content, optimize performance, and ensure the success of our messaging initiatives across all platforms.
Responsibilities
•Support various strategic programs via manual and triggered campaigns across the customer lifecycle, including prospecting, win-back, nurturing, post-purchase, loyalty, retention, surveys, and transactional.
•Produce and execute all email, SMS, WhatsApp, and app notification campaigns, including building messages from templates and HTML, copywriting, asset coordination, QA, and scheduling.
•Develop automation for all customer communication channels, ensuring seamless and personalised experiences.
•Build and manage effective target audiences and segments for each message to drive engagement and revenue performance against KPI goals.
•Manage the full process for campaigns across all platforms in a large number of supported languages.
•Oversee the messaging calendar for all channels, ensuring alignment with business priorities, demand forecasts, and internal stakeholders.
•Utilise customer data, such as web behaviour, to drive message and content personalisation.
•Collaborate with designers and copywriters to optimise creative and template structures based on best practices.
•Take ownership of compliance across all channels, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.
•Manage deliverability across all platforms, continuously monitoring and optimising performance.
•Provide regular reports on campaign performance, including opens, clicks, conversions, revenue, revenue lift, unsubscribes, and more.
•Devise and execute A/B tests, record results, and advise on improvements. Testing includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, etc.
•Perform render testing across devices, email clients, and ISPs to ensure that emails are rendered correctly for most subscribers.
•Mitigate email frequency between program touchpoints to minimise database churn – including marketing campaigns, automated/triggered emails, promotional emails, and transactional emails.
•Stay up-to-date with competitor strategies and industry trends to gather insights on best practices and innovative tactics.
•Continuously seek new ways to improve overall programs through new technology, tools, partners, trends, and best practices.
Required Experience
•5+ years experience in similar roles.
•Proven experience in managing email, SMS, WhatsApp, and app notification campaigns.
•Proficiency with email marketing platforms and other relevant tools.
•Strong copywriting and editing skills with attention to detail.
•Experience with automation, segmentation, and personalisation across multiple channels.
•Experience building and managing marketing campaigns from scratch.
•Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
•Ability to harness collaboration to produce well-crafted content.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
