Role: Email Marketing Strategist & Copywriter
Contract: Full-time Remote Contractor (160 hours monthly)
Business Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM PST
Rate: $1,300 to $1,600 USD monthly / $15,600 – $19,200 USD annually (Rate is negotiable based on experience)

What You’ll Do

As an Email Marketing Strategist & Copywriter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing email marketing strategies to enhance subscriber engagement, nurture leads, and drive conversions. Your efforts will significantly contribute to the company’s marketing objectives through compelling email campaigns, persuasive copywriting, and data-driven optimization.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strategic mindset, data-driven approach, and creative flair to elevate our email marketing efforts. Your key performance indicators (KPIs) will include creating and posting 2-4 direct-to-consumer email campaigns with SMS integration per week, as well as 1 business-to-business email per week for the USA and UK markets. You will optimize email workflows on a monthly basis to enhance performance and create and post 3 blogs per week. Additionally, you will focus on increasing email open rates and click-through rates while generating weekly email and SEO analytics reports using tools like SEMrush, Google Analytics, and Ahrefs. Your success will be measured by your ability to drive engagement and conversions through compelling and effective email marketing strategies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Email Marketing Strategy and Campaign Management:
– Develop and implement email marketing strategies to engage subscribers, nurture leads, and drive conversions.
– Create and manage email marketing campaigns, including planning, scheduling, and segmentation to target specific audiences effectively.
– Proactively use data to identify opportunities for increasing open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates. Monitoring campaign performance is a component of this responsibility.
– Collaborate with the creative designer to create visually appealing and compelling email templates and content that maximize open rates and click-through rates.
> Copywriting and Content Creation:
– Write engaging and persuasive copy for various marketing channels, including emails, landing pages, website content, and advertisements.
– Develop compelling headlines, subject lines, and call-to-action (CTA) messages to capture audience attention and drive desired actions.
– Ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, and tone across all marketing communications to maintain brand identity and reputation.
– Elevate email marketing, copy, and blog content to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
> Analytics and Performance Tracking:
– Utilize analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar platforms to track and analyze marketing campaign performance, website traffic, and user behavior.
– Generate regular reports and insights on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as email engagement, website traffic, conversion rates, and SEO rankings.
– Identify trends and opportunities for optimization, making data-driven recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness and ROI.
> Collaboration and Communication:
– Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as marketing, design, and content to align email marketing, copywriting, and SEO efforts with overall marketing objectives.
– Communicate effectively with stakeholders to share campaign updates, performance metrics, and optimization recommendations.
> Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Strategy and Implementation:
– Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve website visibility, organic traffic, and search engine rankings.
– Conduct keyword research to identify relevant search terms and optimize website content accordingly.
– Optimize on-page elements such as meta tags, headings, and URLs to improve website crawlability and relevance.
Implement strong SEO practices into our e-commerce site to enhance online visibility and drive organic traffic.

What You Should Have

> At least 4 years of e-commerce product-based experience to drive impactful digital marketing strategies and initiatives.
> Proficiency in software or tools like Google Workspace, Klaviyo, Pipedrive Asana, Youtube Studio, Dashlane, Shopify, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs and SEM Rush.
> Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, and automation.
> Proficiency in copywriting for digital marketing channels, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
> In-depth knowledge of SEO principles and techniques, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.
> Nice-To-Haves:
– Experience working with companies in the fashion or beauty industries is a big plus.
– Experience with Shopify platform and knowledge of e-commerce best practices.
– Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or other graphic design software for basic image editing.
– Prior exposure to Google Merchant Center and Google Ads Manager for e-commerce advertising campaigns.
