About Q1 Academy:

Q1 Academy is an online English academy serving high-performing students from South Korea, China, and other markets. Our curriculum includes academic reading, writing, speaking, and custom courses for private students. Our students range from 4th to 8th grade and generally attend international schools. Most of our students will ultimately study in the United States.

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a dedicated, professional English Reading/Writing Tutor, who can provide high-quality remote teaching to our students. This role is more than just grading; it’s about being available for our students, helping them with their homework live via video chat (cameras must be on and recorded).

Key Responsibilities:

Live tutoring: Help students with their reading and writing homework via video chat.
Create answer keys.
Grade student’s reading quizzes and grammar answers based on answer keys.

Pay:

Starting pay:
1,000,000 KRW per month (paid via Paypal)
250,000 bonus for completion of semester (every 4 months)

Employment Conditions:

Work 5 days a week [Monday – Friday]
Work hours: 4PM – 10PM (Korea Standard Time)

Minimum Qualifications:

Near native-level English reading and writing proficiency
Graduate of a 4-year university – English major or minor
Experience in English Education
– TOEFL Reading and Writing Preferred
– Bonus: Online teaching experience
Lived or studied abroad

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in English (Major or Minor)
Master’s or PhD in English Education
High proficiency with Google Suite and Adobe Suite
Detail-oriented
