Frequently Answered Questions by job applicants:
“Why do the hospitals need Medical interpreters?”
There are 5.1 Million Chinese immigrants in USA who can’t understand English.
Doctors in USA can speak English, but they can’t speak Mandarin or Cantonese.
We help both of them communicate.
“Why can’t they use smartphones or Ai to translate?”
Hospitals in USA are required by law to provide live, real-time
human interpretation service for the language they choose.
It is one of the patient’s rights.
“But Can I Do This….?”
We understand you are probably 100% new to this.
Here are your most common concerns…
“I don’t have experience working as a translator or interpreter” ????
We don’t expect you to have experience as a translator or interpreter.
But we will expect you to be able to listen and speak English + Mandarin or English + Cantonese.
“I’m not a doctor, I never studied medical terms” ????
None of our current translators or interpreters went to a medical university.
Because we are not hiring doctors here.
And if you went to medical university,
we are 100% sure you won’t be seeking a job as a medical interpreter.
But we will provide you with the tools and training so you can pass the test and be a certified medical interpreter.
We only need you to understand what the doctor is saying, and help the Chinese patient understand what the doctor is saying.
“Ok, I’m Interested. What Is The Hiring Process?”
