What Is My Consulting Offer & What Do We Do?
My Consulting Offer (MCO) helps students and recent graduates become management consultants by coaching them to land and pass interviews at firms such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte and other consulting firms – as simple as that!
What started as one person’s passion for helping people land their dream job has quickly grown into a global team. To date, we have helped over 800 people land in consulting and we continue to grow. We operate on 5 continents, so you could say that we are a global team that is taking over the consulting world.
Our team is made up of former consultants and recruiters who spent time at the same firms we help our clients get jobs at.
What Do We Value At MCO?
Positive Impact – We are passionate about truly helping our clients land their dream jobs and change their lives for the long-term.
Collaboration and Teamwork – We believe we can accomplish more through collaboration. The team will always put each other first, so you are never alone.
Empathy – We take the time to get to know our clients first to make sure it is the right fit before introducing them to our program.
What Does An Inbound Enrollment Specialist Do?
You are changing lives! Enrollment Specialists are the spokespeople of our business. They are the front line of our organization and often the first point of contact potential clients have with us.
When a potential client schedules a call with our team, the Enrollment Specialist speaks to them to see if there is a strong fit between the potential client’s problems and what we offer. If the Enrollment Specialist feels like we can truly help the client get to where they want to go when it comes to their career, they explain the value of our program on the call, encourage them to join our community and help to ensure our clients are seeing success once they have enrolled.
From the initial email correspondence to the personal enrollment calls, to onboarding a client and thoughtfully pairing them with the right coach on our team, to check-ins as they work with their coaches, Enrollment Specialists share in the success of our clients from Day 1 until they sign their job offer in consulting.
What Are The Daily Responsibilities?
Lead one-on-one calls with potential clients (all warm leads who have been pre-screened by our team) to evaluate if they are a good fit for our program (no cold calling or anything like that; everyone you will talk to has reached out to us).
If it is a good fit on both sides, explain the value of our program by building credibility and representing our brand as the first point of contact in order to successfully complete the sale and onboard the client to begin our program.
Check-in with clients periodically to make sure the program is serving their needs and ensure they are seeing success.
Work closely with the Leadership Team at MCO in order to consistently improve the enrollment process and play a key role in growing our business!
What Are The Requirements?
You have 3+ years of continuous experience doing outbound and/or inbound sales calls in English, with an exceptional sales track record.
You’re able to devote 40 hours/week to the role, and able to routinely check your emails.
You are open to working on a US time zone shift
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong negotiating, relationship-building, and management skills.
You’re responsive to performance feedback and excited to continue learning and growing.
You’re willing to check emails over the weekend occasionally and onboard any client who enrolls over the weekend, so they aren’t waiting over 24 hours (it takes about 15 minutes to enroll a client, so this is not a big-time commitment and not very common to happen over the weekend).
You are also not intimidated by learning new systems/technology.
You’re equipped with a laptop/pc, headset, high-definition webcam and have access to high-speed internet.
Nice To Have: Having worked in any management consulting firm would be an advantage, but not required. Many of our team members previously worked at McKinsey, Bain, BCG and other consulting firms.
What Does It Take To Be A Successful Enrollment Specialist?
While being a “career advisor” (making sure the potential client is a good fit for our services) is important to be successful in this role, being able to convert potential clients into actual clients and achieving your sales targets consistently will be the primary benchmark of your success as an Enrollment Specialist.
Equally important is being a good listener, emphatic and willing to say “no” to people who aren’t a good fit to work with us. Our program isn’t for everyone. This is not a traditional sales role, so there is no cold-calling or selling to anyone who can afford us. Even if someone could be an “easy sale”, if we can’t help them, we don’t enroll them into our program.
How Will I Be Supported?
We have a comprehensive training program and system in place to provide you with the feedback you need to grow in this role. We will not throw you in to swim on your own until you are comfortable and ready to speak with clients.
Where Is The Office?
The best part – we don’t have an office! You can be and work from anywhere you want in the world – on a beach in Bali, eating sushi in Japan or at your home office.
How Is The Pay and What Do I Get Out Of This?
Competitive base salary + additional uncapped bonus for each new client who enrolls. Details to be discussed.
The ability to work in your sweatpants from anywhere in the world!
Unlimited time off. Your daughter has a 1-week camping trip with friends? Take the week off. We have a process in place for coverage if you are on vacation or have several days in a row where you can’t check email.
The opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing startup that is open to your fresh ideas and input!
You are changing lives.
