Entry-Level Video Editor

KickAssets Video is committed to partnering with small businesses in their adventure of growth to create unique, professional videos that are consistent with their brand. We team up with these growing businesses to take their video presence to the next level and get their message out.

We are looking to add an entry-level Video Editor to our team. The ideal candidate will have a creative eye and some technical abilities to produce the vision clients have in mind for their promotional videos, highlight reels, podcasts, and videos for social media. Some experience working with software, an eye for digital design, and a passion for digital media and creative content development are necessary to be successful in this position. Position will initially be part-time (about 20-25 hours per week) with the possibility of full-time in the future.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
*Manipulate and edit raw footage in a way that is invisible to the audience and matches the client’s vision.
*Responsible for appearance and content of final video by:
*Improving sound, color, lighting, and faulty footage,
*Adding music, cuts, pans, and zooms to maintain audience interest,
*Designing and creating graphics, captions, bumpers, and intro and end screens.
*Create videos (promotional, highlight, podcast, YouTube, snippets, thumbnails, graphics, and animations for client’s use.
*Follow KickAssets Video’s and client’s brand guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
*Capable of working toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously and adhering to a strict time schedule.
*Experience using PremierPro, After Effects, Canva.
*Familiarity with social media platforms, especially YouTube, Instagram,??Facebook, and LinkedIn.
*Ability to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvements.
*Great interpersonal and communication skills.
*Graphic design, YouTube strategy, copywriting experience, and/or digital marketing, is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS
*Must be fluent in English.
*High school diploma or GED.
*Experience as a video editor as demonstrated by a portfolio.
*Work from home, have own equipment (computer, software, etc.) and consistent, high-speed internet.
*Work with Eastern Time Zone business hours.
