We are looking for driven and motivated individuals (like yourself!) to join GrantMe as our Student Application Support Specialist. In this role, you will be reading the essays submitted by our students and helping them edit and revise the essays to be professional yet unique essays that will allow the student’s personalities to shine through.

The role:
You will be editing high school and university students’ admission, scholarships, and job applications to help them obtain funding and get into their top choice school.
You will provide actionable feedback to identify how students can write about their experiences in a compelling way.
Use your knowledge of what committees are looking for to support students and families quickly and efficiently.
You will be editing a set number of essays within a given time frame.
Successfully support students in navigating challenges they may have with addressing your feedback
Work closely with the team to improve the time to edit each essay and the quality of the edits.
Level up your competencies and expertise in educational opportunities.
Hours of work are non-standard and may include evenings, overnight shifts, or weekends to ensure we meet strict deadlines. An example schedule is from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 3:00 pm-11:00 pm Vancouver time.
We’re looking for people who have:
Have excellent written and verbal communication
Have high energy, a positive attitude and are passionate about helping students graduate debt free
Love learning and want to build their career
Excellent and verbal communication
Are driven, self motivated, and have a fantastic work ethic.
Are results oriented
Have a keen desire to continually develop and grow their skills and are open to receiving feedback.
Think on their feet and can solve problems on the fly
Are masters of efficiency, are highly organized, and love using technology to get things done quickly.
Bonus points if you:
Have worked as an editor before
Have customer service experience
Are a former teacher, tutor, or educational consultant/advisor
Have applied for university, and scholarships in Canada and have an understanding of some of the challenges involved with the process
