About:

We are a company called Five Star Franchising. We hold an annual conference every year for our franchisees called the Home Services Summit. The event is being held on November 6-10, 2024 in Orlando, Florida. We are seeking a versatile Remote Event Planner who is passionate about event management. The ideal candidate also has some digital marketing experience.

Job Summary:

The Remote Event Planner will play a crucial role in planning and executing the event. They will also be involved in marketing the event through various digital channels. But first and foremost, we are seeking an event planner. This role may require a unique blend of project management, digital marketing, and creative skills, including email marketing, social media management, basic video editing, and graphic design. The ideal candidate is a multi-talented professional who can seamlessly integrate event planning with effective marketing to maximize event reach and impact. The role may offer the opportunity to travel to the United States for on-site support during the event, subject to immigration and visa regulations (and the ease and cost of the immigration process).

Key Responsibilities:

– Spearhead the planning and coordination of the Home Services Summit, managing logistics, vendor relations, hotel accommodations, catering, audiovisuals, and on-site or virtual support.
– Oversee project timelines meticulously, ensuring all event planning and marketing milestones are met with precision and efficiency.
– Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with vendors, team members, and stakeholders, promoting a culture of clear communication and collaborative success.
– Craft and execute attendee communication including emails, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms to boost event attendance and engagement.

Qualifications:

– A minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, preferably with large groups exceeding 500 attendees.
– Demonstrated experience in negotiating with hotels regarding contracts, managing rooming lists, overseeing food and beverage services, and coordinating event space.
– Proven ability to manage vendors and maintain high organizational standards.
– Exceptional project management skills, capable of juggling multiple projects, teams, and deadlines.
– Strong accountability in team settings.
– Proficient in GSuite.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Creative problem-solving skills, proactive in overcoming challenges.
– Proficient in English.
– Bachelor’s degree.
– Willingness to contribute to marketing efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Event Management or a related field.
– Experience in digital marketing, particularly in email marketing and LinkedIn engagement.
– Basic video editing and graphic design skills, with experience using Adobe Premiere Rush and Canva.
– Familiarity with the event management software Swoogo.
