Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Executive Assistant – Investment Research and Operations to join our remote team. This role is integral to our investment process, providing essential research, analysis, and operational support. Additionally, the role will provide business operations support in the current portfolio businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in finance or business, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a multi-disciplinary environment. While normal office hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm PST, you will be able to set your own schedule, with minimal office hours overlap requested for collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Source and analyze potential investment targets, ensuring they meet our investment criteria.
Diligently filter business listings daily to identify viable investment opportunities.
Communicate with brokers via email to gather necessary information.
Manage confidentiality agreements, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
Organize and upload relevant data into Google Drive for accessible team use.
Assist in the analysis of financial statements to assess the fit with investment criteria.
Create comprehensive Investment Memos using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, summarizing key investment insights.
Conduct targeted market research to inform investment decisions and strategies.
Provide administrative support to portfolio companies, including maintaining machine maintenance logs and coordinating repair technicians.
Execute basic bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate financial records.
Develop marketing materials and track customer engagement and orders to support growth initiatives.
Manage action items and meeting notes using Notion, with follow-ups conducted via Discord.
Schedule employee work shifts efficiently using WhenIWork.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience in investment analysis, financial statement review, and market research.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Google Drive, Notion, Discord, and WhenIWork.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
