Job Description

Reforest is an early stage, venture-backed business based in Brisbane, Australia.

We are looking for an experienced, awesome, high-performing front-end javascript developer to join our small but fast-growing team of developers based in the Philippines and Australia.

Our core product is a web SaaS platform that helps companies calculate their carbon footprint and buy trees in high-quality reforestation projects.

Key responsibilities for the role include:
– Design, write, test and maintain front-end code and documentation
– Assist with software testing and quality assurance (automated and manual)
– Contribute with new ideas or ways of improving the user experience and performance
– Code review work from other developers

Mandatory skills:
– Front-end development experience in Javascript, Typescript, ReactJS
– Experience with NextJS
– Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS
– Experience with working in an Agile environment
– Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
– Experience working with REST based APIs
– A willingness to learn new concepts, technologies and business models

Skills that would be nice to have:
– An interest in learning full stack development would be awesome (if you don’t already have NodeJS experience)
– Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (using Bitbucket Pipelines)

You will need to:
– Be able to communicate effectively with the development team
– Be able to provide input to software architecture decisions
– Be self-motivated & reliable
– Be willing to work in a start-up atmosphere
